The guide explains your rights, how to request a record and what to do if a request is refused. You may complain to the Regulator if you are unhappy with our response.

How we process personal information
Why we process it: to respond to enquiries and provide our services; to meet legal and professional duties; to run our business and website.
Whose information, and what kind: clients and prospective clients (name, contact details, project and property details); consultants, contractors and suppliers (business and contact details, agreements, invoices); website visitors (IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed); staff and applicants, where applicable (contact details, qualifications, employment records).
Who may receive it: service providers for our website, email and storage; consultants on a project; municipalities and other authorities, where required; our accountants and legal advisers.
Information sent outside South Africa: some cloud service providers store data outside South Africa. We use providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to POPIA.
How we keep it safe: password-protected accounts with limited access; secure cloud storage and email; backups and up-to-date software; confidentiality duties for people who handle information.
